At Blue Heron Acres, our mission is to make the best tasting beef and pork products possible. We supply these products for both restaurants and retail markets. We are a small, family-run ranch located in North central Pennsylvania. All our meat products have been bred, born, raised and finished on our farm. Our USDA inspected Butcher is only 2 miles away.
Grass feeding gives great color and flavor to our beef along with well-documented health benefits. But we believe that our steers need to be finished on grain to achieve the height of flavor, tenderness, and marbling that is highly prized in the finest steak houses in the country. We are constantly tweaking genetics and feed in order to make the best product possible.

We finish steers that are between 50% and 87 1/2% Wagyu, crossbred with Angus, Hereford, and Highlanders. Our cattle have free-ranged on our pastures for up to 18 months and are then brought in to finish on our custom mixture of grains to fatten up and attain outstanding marbling and extraordinary flavor.
